San Jose Works 3.0 Graduation Celebration and Youth Job Fair Attracts 325 Attendees

Mayor Sam Liccardo kicked off the San Jose Works 3.0 Graduation and Job Fair on July 28 at the City Hall Rotunda. The program is a partnership between the Office of Economic Development’s work2future program, San José City Parks and Recreation, Neighborhood Services (PRNS) and the work2future Foundation. Major supporters and speakers at the graduation were Raquel Gonzalez, Silicon Valley Market President for Bank of America, Matt Mahood, Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Organization, and Mitch Schoch, CEO of Bentek. Over 325 attendees including graduates of San Jose Works 3.0 program and general public could connect with over 20 employers looking to fill openings. Attendees were provided information on services and training opportunities available through work2future.
