San José Hosted Workshop on State Hiring Tax Credits from California Competes

Nearly 40 small business owners attended a workshop on Tuesday, June 27, regarding “California Competes.” The state program through has made $200 million in tax credits available to help businesses grow in California. Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) provided attendees with a better understanding of the credits and how to apply for the 25% of the funds that are reserved for small businesses. work2future's BusinessOwnerSpace.com staff was joined by the Small Business Development Center of Silicon Valley and the Environmental Services Department to answer questions about local programs to assist small businesses.
