June 22 Doing Business in San José Workshop by work2future's BOS program

“Driving New Business with Social Media” was the featured topic of the June “Doing Business in San José” workshop organized by the work2future BusinessOwnerSpace.com (BOS) program at the Santa Teresa Branch Library on Thursday, June 22. Tracey Lee Davis of ZingPop Social Media, a consultant with SCORE, provided the 16 attendees with information about how to use social media to generate business. Representatives from the Small Business Development Center and the City’s Small Business Ally also introduced their services. The next workshop will be scheduled on July 27 in District 4. By rotating topics and locations, and by providing assistance to Limited-English speakers, the City is ensuring that small businesses have access to the wide variety of services available through BOS partners. Immigrant entrepreneurs can also receive services through BusinessOwnerSpace.com at 877-880-1222, which incorporates a phone translation service.
