Vocational Rehabilitation Program
Department of Rehabilitation (DOR)
Vocational rehabilitation services program assists Californians
with disabilities obtain and retain employment and maximize
their ability to live independently in their communities. The
Department develops purchases, provides, and advocates for programs
and services in vocational rehabilitation and independent living
with a priority on service for persons with the most severe
disabilities.

Deaf Counseling Advocacy and Referral Program (DCARA)
Deaf Counseling, Advocacy and Referral Agency (DCARA) provide
direct services to the deaf/hard-of-hearing. They assist clients
in acquiring the tools they need to obtain and maintain employment.
They teach skills involved writing resumes, filling out job
applications and successful job interview techniques. Deaf
and hard of hearing customers can use the unemployment TTY
system to obtain general unemployment information and unemployment
insurance claim filing.

voice calls). This service is available at Campbell and Gilroy One Stop Centers.
Disabled Veterans Programs(DOR)
The Silicon Valley Veterans Task Force offers priority to
military veterans in receiving referrals to training and the
provision of other employment related services. Disabled
veterans receive top priority in all employment services.
SVVTF offer one-on-one services to veterans having difficulty
obtaining or retaining work. Small group workshops on resume
preparation, interview skills Job retention, are available
to you.
