Technology-to-Teacher (T2T)
National Need for Qualified Math and
Science Teachers
The need for more HIGHLY QUALIFIED teachers has been both a national and state concern. The "No Child Left Behind Act" (requiring that all teachers of core academic subjects be competent in the field they wish to teach) brought new resources to the challenge of educating children and made the issue of improving teacher quality its focal point.
According to the United States Department of Education, 240,000 new and qualified science and mathematics teachers are needed in our K-12 classrooms over the next decade.
In response to this crisis, on November 19, 2001, Governor Davis announced a new Technology-to-Teacher (T2T) Initiative to recruit mathematics and science teachers for California's K-12 schools.
A wide choice of graduate programs both at State and private schools allows for an exceptional degree of customer choice for clients. Besides the educational community, T2T is now partnering with the Santa Clara County Office of Education, Teacher Recruitment Center and the local school districts.
